1. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid, or hyaluronan, is a naturally occurring substance in your skin, eyes and joints that traps water to keep your tissues lubricated. It can help promote skin health, fight signs of aging and may even help wounds heal.
It’s also an important component of joint fluid that can prevent or reduce knee pain in people with arthritis. Some doctors also use it to lubricate tendons, ligaments and other tissue.
It can be taken as an oral supplement, injection or eye drop. It’s also found in topical serums and ointments.
2. Xela Rederm
Xela Rederm is a non-crosslinked high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) product combined with succinic acid that is injected intradermally for skin hydration, collagen stimulation, pigmentation reduction and an improved skin tone. It is a patented formula from Hyalual, a Swiss aesthetic medicine company that specialises in preventing and slowing down the signs of ageing skin.
Xela Rederm is injected using the same method as during Mesotherpy training Instiute Hyalual treatment, and regulates biochemical and physiological processes in skin cells, blocking free radicals and limiting dehydration. It also contains a combination of hyaluronic acid and succinic acid which works synergistically to stimulate the increase in fibroblasts, collagen synthesis and amino acids.
3. Xela Hydra
Hyaluronic acid is the key component in the skin’s ability to retain water. It hydrates the skin, stimulates collagen and elastin and improves texture and tone. It also acts as an antioxidant to reduce free radical damage and thereby slowing the aging process. Xela Hydra contains high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and is combined with succinic acid to address ageing at a cellular level, improving skin elasticity, tone and texture. The product is injected intradermally and is available in three strengths: 1.1%, 1.8% and 2.2%. Treatments are required at 2 – 4 weekly intervals. Alternatively, Xela Hydra can be used as an ocular hyaluronic acid gel for eyes. The product is non-crosslinked and available in a range of coloured shades to match your skin colour.
4. Xela Lift
Xela Lift is an intradermal injection of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, boosted with succinic acid. It is used to hydrate and stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture and tone, enhance pigmentation, reduce large pores, and eliminate tired face syndrome. It is a one time treatment for all types of skin and is the first of its kind in the UK. It is recommended for people with very dry skin, wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes. It also improves post-acne marks, dark circles and blemishes. The injection is made using a linear or papular technique and lasts 7-14 days.
